Androide was set up in 2000 at Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua Mexico. It is conceived as a project that could generate any musical idea at the expense of electronics. It mixes kitsch, pop, breaks and post rock, using its rock roots with electronic layers of programmed rhythms and synthesizers. They have released three albums: “normal” (2001), “Panacea” (2003) and “Prazer” (2005). Androide’s music appears also in the short film “Historia del Desierto” by Celia Galan Julve. This film was nominated to the Palme d’Or award in the Cannes Festival. In addition, Androide has participated in compilations in London with Tequila Cuervo side by side with Pinker Tones; in the compile edited in Spain “Electronic Latin Freaks” (Subterfuge Records) alongside bands like Kinky, Titán, Capri and Fussible and at last in “The now sound of Mexico” (King a Groove Records) alongside bans like Fase, Terrestre and Wakal.
